Privacy policy

1. The short version

We collect very little about you. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build behavioural advertising profiles, and we never sell personal data. This platform is designed to be read, not measured.

2. Data we collect

• Anonymous reading data. Story view counts are aggregated from an anonymous visitor identifier stored in a cookie. The server stores only a salted hash of that identifier — never the identifier itself and never anything that identifies you.
• Age confirmation. A simple cookie records that you confirmed you are 18 or older. It contains no personal data.
• Contact and report forms. When you contact us or report content, we keep the details you provide and a hashed approximation of your network address for abuse prevention. Reports are never published and reporter details are never shared publicly.
• Server logs. Standard technical logs (requests, timestamps, IP addresses) are kept briefly for security and operational purposes and are not used for profiling.

3. Cookies we use

• kl_visitor — anonymous reading identifier (one year, hashed before storage).
• kl_session / kl_csrf — used only while you are signed in with administrator credentials.

4. What we never do

• we never sell or rent personal data;
• we never publish reporter information;
• we never claim age confirmation is identity verification.

5. Your choices

Clearing cookies removes your anonymous reader identifier. Because identifiers are hashed, we cannot delete individual reading records on request — this is a deliberate design choice that protects your privacy.
