Why an age gate?

KathaLanka publishes fictional stories for adults. Some stories contain sexual themes. To comply with our content-safety rules and to protect minors, we ask every visitor to confirm they are at least 18 years old before browsing.

What the age gate does

• you are asked once per browser whether you are 18 or older;
• your confirmation is stored in a simple, privacy-respecting cookie — no account, no identity data;
• choosing “Exit” leaves the platform without setting the confirmation;
• policy pages and the report form remain reachable even before confirmation.

Content guarantees for adult material

• every sexual character is explicitly 18 years of age or older;
• no minor, school-age, or ambiguous-age character appears in sexual content;
• all content is fictional; real individuals are never depicted sexually;
• non-consensual sexual content is prohibited.
